I realized I never drew anything for the #BelieveinSherlock fandom trend so here’s one. Sometime ago the weather in Van was shitty as usual and I was feeling shitty while walking on an overcrowded street, and then “Illusion and Dream” came on, I thought, this could work in John’s perspective against the world.
Basing every piece on PotF songs and not even sorry hurr
This will be for sale @ Anime Revolution in Vancouver Aug 17-19
This is a wonderful picture. I think your use of the color is amazing and the text at the bottom is done well and does not distract from the picture itself. The only thing I would say is that the actual faces of the people in the crowd distract from Sherlock and Watson. For example, I though the business man was Moriarty and it took me a minute to realize the whole picture. It would have been more effective to maybe downplay and maybe darken the crowd but I applaud you for being able to add such detail. Beautiful picture.
Brilliant stuff, but could do with some differences.
Like some other critiques I saw, the random business guy pops into view first. If you wanted to fix that, I would suggest making the glow around Sherly a bit brighter.
The vision has a lot to do with the impact of the piece. It takes a second to realize it's Sherlock in the picture, and by then the gleam of the picture has dulled a bit.
All in all, this was a very cool peice. I showed it to my Mum-er friend and she loved it. But seriously, very very cool!!
I believe in a lot of things I believe in Sherlock Holmes, but I believe the blonde man is Jim! and the business man is Nick! And Tenth Doctor on the back with Rose and Donna hahaha I could go on all day! Nah but it is an awesome pic... Hood!Sherlock is awesome!
Oh gawd, I just listened to the song and I'm getting major feels over this! I understand this piece and it's beautiful! Also thank you for introducing me to PotF, I'll be looking into them!
incredible! I am so very impressed by this. Im not much of artist on this aspect, but both the crowd and the guy on the phone makes me think of at least a couple of good stories.
