Semi-realism tutorial by ~inklou -- Suggester's words: I believe that this deviation deserves to get a Daily Deviation because of its fun and helpful format. It is unusual to see such a well rendered tutorial on making semi-realistic representation of real people. The writing is fun and non-pretentious. All together it is a solid and well crafted tutorial that gives a good basis for working in the semi-realistic style.

Description
EDIT: AS A DEVIANT SO KINDLY CORRECTED ME, THAT WONDEROUS PHRASE "BEARD ABOVE MOUTH" WRITTEN SOMEWHERE IN THERE IS CALLED A MOUSTACHE. THIS LEAD ME TO WONDER ABOUT MY INTELLECTUAL STATE BACK WHEN I WAS DOING THIS TUTORIAL. PLEASE DISREGARD THAT DESCRIPTION AFTER HAVING A GOOD LAUGH AT IT.
*** DOWNLOAD FOR FULL VIEW *** ...AND PLEASE EXCUSE ANY TYPOS LOOOOL CUS I FAIL AT THIS PART, ALWAYS
SO here it is.
I just realized that by doing this, I kind of bit off more than I could chew, because I noticed how incapable I was of ACTUALLY demonstrating how to do semi-realism. I realize that my so called semi-realism style, is far from semi-realistic. I still have a lot to learn, for sometimes I can get ahead of myself and, like the rant I spontaneously placed by the end of the tutorial, I ASSUMED I got all of the character's aspects correct and drew what I thought was accurate without using references. In the end those small sketches at the bottom of the final portrait looks nothing but anime.
But then again it's no use to get all emo over this cus I know somehow I'll manage to improve //shot
So anyways, I'm just basically sharing some fundamentals I know about drawing a person, if there are loopholes or anything wrong, do tell me! If you find this tutorial helpful, I'll be glad! If you have any questions, feel free to ask!

So in this tutorial you mentioned observing the features of a persons face. How do you do that? What all do you need to know in order to do that?
